STUDENT ADMINISTRATION
Dean of Students

The Dean of Students, deals primarily with the personal and social welfare aspects of the student’s life. The following facilities are provided by the office of Dean of Students: residence, games and sport, worship, student counseling in various problems and career guidance. The Dean of Students also assists the Deputy Vice Chancelor Administration in student disciplinary matters.

Students shall be expected to treat each other, members of staff, and the members of the community in general, with courtesy and consideration and in particular, by observing moral and ethical norms at all times.

Student Organization

CUoM Students' Organization (CUoMSO) is the primary representative body of the students at CUoM. All students are automatically members by registration. The CUoMSO Office is under the mentorship of the office of Dean of Students.

The students' President, who is the Chair of the students' organization, is elected by the students every year. The students' President also sits in most of the high level Committees of the campus. This is to ensure that the opinions of the students are considered within the ongoing University matters. Even if you are not a class representative or school officer, your opinion will be voiced through the students' representation structure and general meetings.

The Organization always ensures to promote activities within the campus and establishes that there is a social and academic unity among the students, no matter what your background is.

STUDENT SERVICES
Accomodation Services
The students' accommodation at our campus is safe, secure and comfortable. The University does not provide accommodation for families. Students are free to find their own accommodation off-campus. A student may opt to live in the University hostel at the campus if accommodation is available, or s/he may opt to live outside the University campus.
Accomodation at the campus costs Tsh. 400,000/= per year. This fee do not include meal services, laundry or other personal expenses.

Payment should be made through our Bank Account:
Acc.No. 262227000003 TANZANIA POSTAL BANK (TPB). This Account is only for accomodation fee. A bank pay-in slip should be submitted to our office within two(2) days, or sent via our email address info@cuom.ac.tz

Alternative off-campus accommodation is available from nearby private hostels and private rental homes. Plans to expand students’ accommodation are under way.

Cafeteria Services
The University has commercialised cafeteria where students are required to pay for their meals. Since the University hostels do not provide cooking facilities, students are NOT allowed to prepare meals in there.
Spiritual Life
Students and staff of CUoM have complete freedom of worship based on their spiritual beliefs, within the limitations of the laws of the country and students' By-Laws.

Counselling:
The University cares deeply about the holistic wellbeing of each individual, hence, ensuring that there is access to counselling services on campus. Counselling services are available through the Chaplaincy. Those in need of counselling on any matter, including studies, home, family as well as work-related issues, will find that the services are offered in a professional manner and in a friendly environment. Close follow-up is made for those who need it whenever required.
Sports, Games & Recreation
The University offers an active student life beyond your day to day studies. With a range of sports on offer, including basketball, football, netball, volleyball and athletics, students can join their favourite sport and participate in inter-class, inter-University and league competitions.
Medical Services
Medical services are available, but students are required to pay medical fees through their Health Insurance corporations. New University students are required to join National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF), which guarantees the medical treatment at Health Centres accepting NHIF services. Upon admission, all students are required to pay medical and capitation fees and receive medical services based on these fees.
